When Neal first reached out to ask me to photograph his surprise proposal to Haley, I was so excited! This is the second proposal I've been asked to photograph in just a little over a month.
Neal and Haley were coming to The Greenbrier for the Greenbrier Classic. I waited outside the entrance of the hotel and pretended to just casually take photos of the flowers, etc. When Neal and Haley walked up they asked if I could take a cell phone shot in front of the hotel. Once I'd gotten that photo I asked them to turn and face each other. This was Neal's cue to do his thing!
Haley was so surprised! She had no idea what Neal had planned. I was so happy that I got to be a part of such a special moment in their lives.
I have to say, surprise proposals have got to be one of my favorite things to photograph lately. I love capturing moments like this that are fleeting, yet can last a lifetime with the help of photography.
